Societies of Interest
WHEREAS a united body which can effectively call on society for resources, for example to assist in setting up centers of excellence, in editing and publishing previously unpublished work, and such a body can establish uniform methods of measurement and evaluation, promote education, and coordinate international exchange of information including conferences. We organize the International Thermoelectric Society.
Goals
TO PROMOTE the advancement of the thermoelectric industry, science and engineering;
TO PROMOTE collection and exchange of information and education which will benefit the thermoelectric community;
TO PROMOTE systemization of measurements to and in comparison of materials and devices;
TO PROMOTE awareness of the larger community to thermoelectric issues and solicit wider involvement;
TO PROMOTE a forum of exchange of information and achievements. -Newsletters;
TO PROMOTE a mechanism for coordinating and promoting conferences.
General This is a society organized around an Annual Conference. Those who attend an Annual Conference or who pay dues are members for two years. An annual ITS Board meeting is held immediately prior to the start of the Annual Conference. This is to ensure that vacant Board member positions due to a Board member's term expiration or due to election of a Board member to the position of President Elect (Vice-President), are determined prior to the start of the Annual Conference.
The European Thermoelectric Society is a non-profit scientific association, founded in 1995 as a regional organization of the International Thermoelectric Society (ITS).
The Thermoelectrics Society of Japan (TSJ) was established in 2004 with an aim to promote the development of thermoelectric industry, science and technology. Their website (in Japanese) includes The Journal of the Thermoelectrics Society of Japan.
International Academy of Refrigeration (IAR) passed the resolution to start a new section of THERMOELECTRIC COOLING AND MATERIALS in the framework of the Academy at its session on October 19, 1996.

The International Thermoelectric Academy is an international social organization that unites on a voluntary basis leading researchers in the field of thermoelectrics. The Thermoelectric Academy's activity spreads over the territory of Ukraine, USA, France, Japan, Pussia, Republic of Moldova, Belarus, Lithuenia, Kazachstan and other countries where its branches and agencies will be formed.
Welcome to the official web site of the International Thermal Conductivity Conference (ITCC) and the International Thermal Expansion Symposium (ITES). These two conferences are held concurrently every two years. Our mission is to provide a forum for the free exchange of ideas, advancement of the science, training of new professionals, and documentation of the state-of-the-art in thermophysical properties. The proceedings are published in hardback format following the conference and a rigorous peer review.
