Thermopower Symposium CH-

Novel Thermoelectric Materials and Applications

Dates, Deadlines and Location:

  • 15. May 2007 at Forum Chriesbach, Empa Dübendorf
  • Submission of abstract: 30. April, 2007

 

Scope:

The aim of the meeting is to assemble scientists from universities, scientific institutes as well as industry to promote co-operations on the development of thermoelectric materials and devices. The symposium will provide a forum for discussions among chemists, physicists, engineers and materials scientists working on thermoelectric conversion technologies. The topics include all aspects of thermoelectric energy conversion.

 

Call for papers:

You are invited to submit abstracts (300 words) on topics within the scope of the conference.

 

Topics:

  • Activities and projects in Switzerland (and abroad)
  • Theory and fundamentals of thermoelectricity
  • Development of novel thermoelectric materials, including preparation techniques: Innovative synthesis methods (Thin films, soft chemistry,…)
  • Design of devices, including Micro Thermoelectric Converters
  • Applications in cooling and electricity generation
  • Characterisation and measurement techniques
