Thermoelectric Materials Synthesis and Characterization:
The applicant will assist in the research of high performance thermoelectric materials, which involves material synthesis, structural & chemical characterization, and transport property measurements. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics or similar discipline. Experience with synthesis and characterization of materials is a strong advantage. An understanding of transport properties including thermal conductivity, thermopower, and electrical conductivity in semiconductors, semi-metals, and composite materials is desired. The appointment is initially for a one-year period and may be renewed in one-year increments for a maximum of three additional years.
