Distance between legs
Submitted by sruthisagar on Tue, 2004-09-28 11:43
Hi,
Does the distance between the legs of the module in anyway affect the performance of the module . what is the typical distance used for design. i have been trying to review literature and could not get a design parameter. I would be thankful If i could get suggestion regarding this query.
I am not sure if this is a stupid question but somehow no one has posted a reply :?
Thanking you,
Sruthi.

Re:Distance between legs
The distance between legs is related with the copper tabs one.
Theorically you can put a lot of space between different legs (of course there is the dimensional limit of ceramic), but you increase the Joule effect in the copper tabs (if you don't increase the them thickness for working with same section) with no benefits on the Peltier effect of the pellets.
There is a work of Luste, of Chernivtsi Institute, on the distribution of electric current on legs e copper tabs,
